A woman who is living as her boyfriend’s slave says she being completely submissive has allowed her to break free from the chains of an eating disorder.
Antonina Barbuzza, 23, and her boyfriend Emanuele Mureddu, 24, live a BDSM lifestyle all day, every day.
The couple, from Rome, who are also known as Nancy and Jack, have taken on permanent dominant and submissive roles in their relationship.
After one year of trying to be what they call “vanilla”, self-proclaimed sadist Jack suggested that they change their power dynamic and incorporate BDSM into their everyday lives.
Two years later, Nancy now wears a collar around her neck, signifying her commitment to being a “slave” to her other half.
She will complete any task or commands that he asks her to.
Her responsibilities as a submissive vary from mundane to humiliating.
She often is instructed to make tea for Jack and to clean his boots, but in more extreme cases, her mouth will become Jack’s “human ashtray” which he uses to stub out his cigars.
Aspiring fashion designer Nancy, who insists that she is not submissive with anybody else outside of her relationship, also says that BDSM has helped her to overcome her long-term struggle with bulimia.
She said: “I always liked food and I liked eating but I thought it was wrong and it made me dirty.
“I had a desire to regain power over my body, the pain I had caused to my body was not a pain I wanted.
“I’m in a relationship in which finally I could let go of myself and give the responsibility to someone else, because I see that on the other side there is someone who can help me, can put me straight.”
By taking on a submissive role, she gives Jack control over her everyday choices, including her eating habits.
Jack, who works as a cheesemonger in a food store, said: “Trying to force someone a diet that has a bit of balance has been a big part of our relationship.
“24/7 [BDSM] also means trying to put boundaries in each other’s lives, not only to sustain them, but to reach a state of peacefulness for the couple.”
Not only is the BDSM involved in their daily lives, but also in the bedroom. As Jack enjoys “impact play” and Nancy is a masochist, she will allow him to slap, kick and flog her.
This often leaves giant bruises across her body and she says that she is sometimes left so swollen that it can take her up to three hours to get undressed.
Jack said: “I am very rough. What I can find at hand is fine, even chairs work.
“Let’s just say that Mike Tyson would have issues knocking her down at times.”
They also use ropes to restrain Nancy, which she says is “deadly practice”.
She said: “I know a lot of people who had incidents because they didn’t have enough attention and went to the hospital. In three years we haven’t had an incident because we have been super careful.”
Although they’re in a monogamous, romantic relationship, Jack admits that he prefers to involve BDSM because he struggles wit
